Dialogue[]

A shaft of sunlight pierces the choking clouds to shine upon your citadel. No fleeting manifestation, this lasts for days, even into the night. Unlike the faint light shone by Elmal, it remains constant, as if from a motionless source.

God-talkers from the <Yelm Seeking>s, a <Rider> clan, come to behold it. "O blessed day!" they cry. "Yelm, the Sun Emperor, has returned to the sky, to burn Chaos and restore order to the broken world!" They request permission to perform a rite to contact this deity, slain by Orlanth an epoch ago. A gift of 20 cows marks the seriousness of the request.

  1. Allow them to worship.
  2. Join them in worship.
  3. "We don't share your certitude."
  4. "That isn't Yelm."

Six Ages 2: Lights Going Out

Consequences[]

At the start of the event, you gain 20 Herds.

If you tell them, "We don't share your certitude," they may depart without rancor, knowing that if they where right, everyone would soon know. A generous gift will make this easier, of course.

If you say, "That isn't Yelm," they'll leave displeased. A gift will soften the blow.

Advice[]

  • "We must express the full dephts of our doubts." - Venef
  • "The <Yelm Seeking>s are our allies. If we say no, we should do so with some delicacy." - Rodene/Diplomat, if you and the visiting clan are allies
  • "Yelm's pantheon kept the women's pantheon property subdued." - Misogynist ring member
  • "I don't think that's Yelm."
  • "Orlanth died seeking Yelm."
