Dialogue[]

A delegation of charioteers from the <otherClan> clan rumbles up to your borders to make a request. They are seeking both Riders and Wheels to help drive one of their nobles into the Gods War to perform the <rite> ritual. You previously received their aid for a ritual, so now they want you to send your worshipers to their ritual ground. If you go, and their ritualist succeeds, your <benefit> will benefit.
  1. Send worshipers.
  2. Send wealth for sacrifice.
  3. Politely decline.
  4. Sternly rebuff them.

Six Ages: Ride Like the Wind

Consequences[]

If you send worshipers, and fail, Mood will drop and the benefit will turn against you instead.

If they have helped your rituals in the past, the Wheels will consider refusal as a slight.

In rituals dedicated to goddesses, there is a risk that your goddesses will become angry with you for participating in a Wheel rite, which disrespects them. This will give you the Divine Indifference stress, and eliminate the benefit you might otherwise receive from helping. A strong magician will be able to shield you from contamination, however.

Rituals, Benefits & Risks[]

Ritual Benefit Additional Risk
Busenari Lightfinder cattle Divine Indifference
Dostal Elk Hunter hunting
Elmal Path Guardian battle readiness
Gamari Horse Mother horses Divine Indifference
Inilla Forage Finder foraging Divine Indifference
Nyalda's Wedding marriages Divine Indifference
Relandar Role Sorter internal unity

Notes[]

Note that the Wheels have at least one ritual you do not (Relandar Role Sorter) and their Nyalda ritual has a different name, possibly reflecting the more passive role of goddesses in their myths.

See also the related events Heels For Wheels (Wheels ask for help on a ritual you do not share with them) and Rider Ritual Support (Riders make the same request).

They may also ask for help with the ritual Reladivus River Tamer - needs confirmation.

Advice[]

  • "Like we do, Wheels revere Relendar. This is a rare chance to celebrate that." - Relandar worshiper, if the Wheels want help with a Relandar ritual
  • "Samnal stole Gamari's children and yoked them to his cart." - Gamari worshiper
  • "They deny Ekarna, instead favoring the half-blind trade god, Rogoros." - Ekarna worshiper
  • "We may be Riders and they may be Wheel but we are all Elmali." - Elmal worshiper
  • "If we participate and they botch the ritual, our <benefit> will suffer. But they will probably succeed."
  • "Wheel versions of the rituals disrespect the goddesses. Wait till they ask for help with a Dostal or Elmal rite." - if the ritual is for a female god
  • "We do owe them this, but the people always like it when we stick it to Wheels."
  • "Just as they disdain Hyalor, we would never worship Samnal, cruel god of chariots."
  • "It's about time we had some scapegoats around here." - <Advisor 1>
  • "I object to that term, <Advisor 1>." - Goat-loving circle member
