Dialogue[]

Emissaries from the Wheel kingdom show up at your clan boundaries to issue a demand. <Name>, a prominent young woman of your clan, has attracted the attention of their king, <Wheel King>. He will have her as his bride, and is willing to pay more than the usual bride price for her. <Name> refuses her consent; her family will not hear of it.
  1. Diplomatically refuse.
  2. Explain that <Name> is not interested.
  3. Persuade <Name> to do it, for the sake of the clan.
  4. Tell them the price of outrageous demands.
  5. Attack the emissaries.

Consequences[]

Diplomatically refuse can sometimes succeed or invite raids. Explain that <name> is not interested... does not convince the Wheels to cease the demand. Persuade <Name> to do it can succeed.(see notes section) Tell them the price of outrageous demands... can intimidate them or cause them to seek follow up with a raid. Attack the emissaries can cause fear but may also invite attacks from the kingdom.

Notes[]

This event can typically occur at random within the first 2 years of a Wheel Kingdom formation.

If you have the Former Wheel on your ring, and her former clan is making this demand, she believes and convinces your ring member that life as queen with this Wheel King is a great honor. Otherwise the demanded bride will not be happy about accepting marriage. The former Wheel member will also not approve of other kings.

Queen Ayvtu - It is possible to marry Ayvtu off to the king if she is the youngest potential female ring member in your clan. Ways to accomplish this include getting the Traveling Stone to reverse her age and getting younger members to die on missions or prematurely age doing god's rituals.( Such as giving feathers or brooches to ghosts in Ekarna's ritual )

The picture in this event is used in other Wheel related events.
