“ | And here are the Werris Mur, a wandering folk who claimed kinship with the mountains. Our ancestor Terekalan and their leader Yathis Yan hid themselves in a pine shelter for three days, and when they came out, our peoples were one, and now some of us trace our lineage from him, and others from her. | ” |
— Story Tent, Six Ages: Ride Like the Wind |
The Werris Mur were a nomadic people who long ago joined Nivorah, and thus Dara Happa, as citizens. Unlike the Dara Happans, but like Riders, the Werris Mur followed female leaders at least some of the time.
Ride Like the Wind[]
Supporting the Werris Mur is a possible Famous Event choice in clan creation, where it grants increased leadership and access to the earth goddess Nyalda's Cooperation blessing.
A treasure called the Coffle Cutter is described: "Blade of the Werris Mur people increases your magnitude of victory against slave-keepers". This suggests that the Werris Mur probably did not keep slaves themselves, and that they had to fight off slave-takers.
Lights Going Out[]
In Lights Going Out, much like in Ride Like the Wind, if you chose to support the Werris Mur during clan creation, your leaders will have better Leadership skills by default. However, your ancestors' Famous Event blessing will also help their Leadership skills increase faster.
