Wandering Uroxi are bands of warriors devoted to the Ram god Urox, Orlanth's Chaos-Smashing brother. They are not tied down to any one clan, but wander around the Black Eel Valley, fighting Chaos wherever they can find it. These bands replenish their numbers through the recruitment of the roughest individuals throughout the valley. Hence, they are all powerful warriors.
They can be recognized by the horned helmets they wear, in respect to Urox. They also behave much like their patron god: rowdy and impulsive. However, most clans put up with it because of their usefulness against Chaos. They offer their services of scourging Chaos to any clan that need it, in exchange for compensation in valuable goods and hospitality. These services are especially valuable in the Chaos Age, particularly to Riders, whose pantheon does not include a god dedicated to the fighting of Chaos.
Beren, the founding king of the Berenethtelli—the Ram tribe in the Black Eel Valley—had troubles with the wandering Uroxi. His son, Ulvargar the "Chaos-Fighting King" maintained strong ties with them, however.
