Vinglanth was the fourth king of the Berenethtelli tribe, succeeding his father, Vingulf. In spite of the warnings of his adopted brother, Koralant, he chose to carry the tribe's royal regalia into battle against Chaos. In that battle, he lost both the tribal regalia as well as his own life. He had two sons: Helethar the Thinker, who died with him, and Brolarulf the Sun, who became the fifth king of the tribe following Vinglanth's death. Because of his loss of the tribe's royal regalia, Vinglanth would be the last Berenethtelli king to be properly crowned, dealing a heavy blow to royal legitimacy.
His seal, the Seal of Vinglanth, functions as a magical treasure that aids against false trust and dangerous innovation.
Lights Going Out[]
The Chaos monsters that killed Vinglanth can differ between games. Your ancestors will approve of you striking this particular foe whenever possible. The name of the battle where he died differs based on which Chaos monsters were responsible for his death: if it was ogres, it was at the Writhestone Disaster; if scorpion men, the Battle of the Stingers; if shapestealers, the False Kings Massacre; if broos, the Battle of Screamhorn Vale; and if cannibals, the Blood Feast Battle.
