Vadrus the Smasher, also known as Ovadorudus or Hurt-Everything, is a Ram god, brother to Orlanth the Rebel. He is known for his violent ways. He favored Thengist, until Osara defeated him.
His children include the equally destructive gods of Freeze-Everything, Chase-Everything, and Hide-Everything.
Ride Like the Wind[]
Vadrus first appears in Ride Like the Wind.
Myths & Rituals[]
In Ride Like the Wind, Vadrus appears in the following myths and rituals:
- Hyalor's Long Ride as Ovadorudus (only if Ram People are your ancestral enemies).
- Osara and Verlaro as Ovadorudus.
- Zarlen's First Wander as Hurt-Everything, whose plan to destroy Elmal is foiled by Zarlen. He has three children in this myth, known as Freeze-Everything (Valind), Chase-Everything (Gagarth), and Hide-Everything.
- Rivalry between warlords, where Redalda can try to persuade him to join the Storm Tribe. Should she succeed, a potential reward for the ritual is a blessing from Vadrus.
Lights Going Out[]
By the time of Lights Going Out, Vadrus has died, presumably during the Great Darkness. You can still encounter his worshipers, the Vadrudi, in the game, though.
Lore[]
Your clan ring can say this about Vadrus:
- "With the death of his father Vadrus, Valind is now the chief of his clan, called the Hurt Everythings."
Myths & Rituals[]
In Lights Going Out, he appears in the myth Humakt Divides Life from Death, where he tries and fails to be trained by Kargan Tor.
