Dialogue[]

Senior herders have been calculating the number of <horses/animals> needed to support the clan. "If we don't get more <horses/cows and sheep>, at least another <20/40/80>, we will <no longer be the heirs of Beren's ancestor Hyalor Horsebreaker/perish>. <It would make sense to ask Redalda to bless the mares to birth more colts./Is there a reason we aren't asking for Uralda for her Calf Blessing?>" <They also note that our food stockpiles will run out in a few weeks.> They ask, "What is the clan ring going to do?" The common people can count just as well as anyone else, and know that the clan is headed for trouble. <Some people are even saying that the clan may not be viable much longer.>
  1. Slaughter some of your livestock for food.
  2. Send some of your people away.
  3. "You are wrong. Things are not as bad as you think."
  4. "We will deal with this, but not in haste."

Six Ages 2: Lights Going Out

Some options may not be available, depending on how dire things are.

Consequences[]

If you say, "We will deal with this, but not in haste," then the people may wonder just when you will deal with the situation, or express how they can't eat vague promises. Mood is likely to go down. It's also possible for the people to trust the ring and renew their pledges of obedience, which will raise Mood.

If you say, "You are wrong, things are not as bad as they seem," the clan is likely to trust their own eyes before your words, and Mood goes down.

Notes[]

This is a warning to acquire more horses and/or herds, else you are heading for the Loss: Berenstead Clan Disbanded ending.
