The Spirit Hills region lies to the northwest of the Black Eel Valley, on the other side of the wild Oslira River, below the Glacier and a bit above the Autumn Mountains. It is said that the wind echoes with the sound of unseen drums here.
Though this area is scattered with the giant-sized ruins of a forgotten culture, there are no longer any settled people living in this area. However, the wandering group of spirit-worshiper known as the Yanadlings—a cousin-people to the Riders—rove this land, and the reindeer-herding Omasegs sometimes migrate through here as well.
Ride Like the Wind[]
The Spirit Hills first appear in Ride Like the Wind.
Coming from your clan lands, the whole area is on the other side of the Oslira River, so it is recommended one tames it by successfully completing the Taming the River ritual before sending missions here. Although not named in the game, the river coursing through this area is called the Estus (like the Oslira's other tributaries, it is not a powerful enough river to give you any trouble, so you will not need to tame it).
Events[]
You can trigger the following events when exploring the Spirit Hills:
The two markers on the map (see the top of the article) show the locations of the Abandoned Temple and Abandoned Village events. These markers won't show up until you have visited those areas at least once, though you may learn the locations from other clans before then. Which location triggers which event is random between games.
