Sheep are a kind of livestock kept by the Vingkotlings. They are the only inhabitants of the Black Eel Valley to do so. Because of this, they are often just called Rams or Ram People.

Ride Like the Wind[]

Even though the other two of the three main cultures in Ride Like the Wind that you can raidthe Riders, your culture, and the Wheels— do not keep sheep, the icon for a herd raid is always a sheep.

Lights Going Out[]

Since becoming a Ram clan in between games, your clan in Lights Going Out keep sheep instead of goats, like they did in Ride Like the Wind. In terms of gameplay, sheep in Lights Going Out function the same way that goats did in Ride Like the Wind.

You now count a god of sheep and shepherds, Voriof, amongst the ones you worship. You can build both a shrine and temple to him, put his devotees on the clan ring, and one of his blessings, the Lamb Blessing, helps more lambs to survive.

Lore[]

About sheep, your clan ring has the following to say:

  • "Sheep are storm animals, which you can tell because they look like fluffy clouds."
  • "One story says that Orlanth became Voriof in order to impregnate Nevala, who birthed the first sheep."
  • "In none of our tales does Voriof remove Chaos from sheep. But if our call to him succeeds, the beats will survive."

Events[]

Sheep factor into the following events:
