Dialogue[]
“ | Sereden approaches the ring<, excluding Iverlantho>, to express concerns about the king's state of mind. <This charismatic carver shares many curious elusive ideas with a coterie of young followers. These youthful friends swear by his wisdom, while others consider them distracting nonsense. Sereden makes his case:> "Iverlantho, never a man at ease with the world or his duties, rarely sleeps these days. When he speaks to others it's to scold or upbraid them. With his thoughts so out of joint, he will <keep on pressing his demands for the chieftain's seat, which the people consider him unsuited for/drive a wedge between himself and the people, who wish to love him>. I entreat you to place him under my tutelage, so I can guide him to see beyond his sorrows."

Consequences[]
If you arrange for the two to talk, Iverlantho listens for a while before decrying all involved parties of impertinence. The people may agree with the king.
If you urge the king to accept Sereden's offer, he may erupt into a fury, this conflict being a source of discord within the clan for a while; you earn the Distracting Conflict modifier.
Notes[]
Alternate pictures may be used depending on the age of the two characters.
