Scorpion folk—with their human torsos and giant scorpion bodies—may be mistaken for members of the Beastfolk race, like the Ducks, but are actually Chaos beings most known for their slaughter and pillage. They worship Bagog, the goddess of ravenous fecundity, and are ruled by queens. One such queen is Bakoka, who fought Hyalor himself and whose stars still plague the sky world.
Ride Like the Wind[]
Scorpion folk first appear in in Ride Like the Wind, where they are some of the many forces of Chaos your clan may have to tangle with. If Chaos is your ancestral enemy, it is the scorpion folk who they will specifically have battled in the past.

Lights Going Out[]
During the Chaos Age that Lights Going Out takes place in, scorpion folk is even more of a scourge on the Black Eel Valley than in the first game. According to the backstory, they may be responsible for the deaths of King Vinglanth (in which case his death was at "The Battle of the Stingers") or Iverlantho's first sons, marking them as an iconic foe of your clan. If so, your ancestors learnt of special ways of fighting them— giving your clan a bonus against scorpion folk in the present day— and will approve of you doing so if ever given the opportunity.
If, in a particular game of Lights Going Out, scorpion men are the Chaos foe that slew Vinglanth, you may receive the following report:
“ | While on the road I encountered a party of <Other Clan>s, who were hunting Chaos foes. They sought a pack of scorpion men. As these have been our special adversaries since the battle that claimed King Vinglanth, I advised the seekers on the best ways to fight them. The <Other Clan> warriors rewarded me with silver and words of praise. | ” |

You may also hear the following rumor:
