Dialogue[]

<Rival>s clan emissaries appear at your gate to issue a bold demand. "The valley depended on the so-called royal traditions of the <Player Clan>s to keep us safe. Yet you have failed. Perhaps if a clan truly destined to save the world takes over the remaining defenses of this once-proud fortress, the tide may yet be turned. Leave this place, marching into the void beyond the valley, so that <Rival> heroes may save the day."
  1. Answer them with arrows.
  2. "All must unite against Chaos."
  3. No glorious battle awaits—only ignominious death."
  4. "You defend our lands, and we will defend ours."
  5. "You fools couldn't save a flipped-over turtle."

Consequences[]

If you tell them: "All must unite against Chaos," you then have a choice to gift them. They may be moved by your words and admit they have misread the omens they saw. They say they may have told them to visit you in order to learn the lesson of unity.

If you tell them "You defend our lands, and we will defend ours," they will roll their eyes and leave. The people may be glad to see them put in their place.

Notes[]

This event happens only in the last year of Lights Going Out.

The illustration used depends on the culture of the Rival Clan.
