Dialogue[]

<As you requested/In response to a <whim/late-night debate>>, your lore speakers have begun to examine the question of the lost royal regalia. The Horn of Vingkot, Mantle of Redalda, and Crown of Beren were taken to battle to aid King Vinglanth. When he died <to/fighting> the <Chaos creature> army, these treasures were lost. Studying the carving made to commemorate the woeful <Chaos foe battle>, they believe they have estimated its location, somewhere to the north. This would be a good first place to look for <the lost royal regalia/lost regalia pieces>.
  1. Immediately send explorers to the site.
  2. Promise to send explorers later.
  3. Remain open to the possibility of an exploration mission.
  4. Promise not to seek the regalia.
  5. Persuade your people that seeking the regalia would be unwise.

Consequences[]

If you immediately send explorers, the people might not find this expedition particularly interesting. You receive the results some seasons later. If you find the regalia piece--which is not guaranteed--you immediately receive the treasure, your Mood goes up, and you're given a variation of the following report:

<Explorer> and our explorers located the site of the <Chaos foe battle>. They found one of the missing pieces of regalia, the Horn of Vingkot. Beren and Redalda had received this treasure after riding to Vingkot's hall on the Other Side. The sages said that while we possessed it, and a true king was our chief, Berenethtelli clans would love and fear us.

If you persuade your people that seeking the regalia would be unwise, they may agree that it was not worth the risk sending explorers to find regalia you didn't even know would be of use; kings and tribes were a luxury for a sunnier age.
