Dialogue[]

<Reda/Rodene>, who disappeared about a year ago, has returned, near death. A patrol found her unconcious atop a malnourished horse. Once revived, she says that Balurgans took her to their homeland. Well-treated at first, <Reda/Rodene> came to realize that they meant to sacrifice her to their namesake earth goddess. She managed to escape right before their holy day. She evaded pursuit on a desperate trek south. A horse stolen from bandits allowed her to make the rest of the way here. "We knew something was not right about the Balurgans," everyone says.
  1. Warn other clans against the Balurgans.
  2. Assess the appetite of other clans for a war against Balurgans.
  3. Celebrate <Reda/Rodene>'s return with a feast.
  4. Let <Reda/Rodene> settle in with minimal fuss.

Six Ages 2: Lights Going Out

Consequences[]

At the start of the event, you gain 1 Population and 1 Horse, for the return of Reda.

If you assess the appetite of other clans for a war against Balurgans, you must first choose the diplomat to make the assessment, as well as the size of their retinue. They may tell you, "In the olden days, before the death of Vinglanth, a war would unite the valley. But how would we feed and equip such a massive expedition in this time of woe? Berenstead is fearsome indeed, but the rest of us prefer caution."

Advice[]

  • "War is a step too far." - Venef
  • "The Balurgans must pay!" - Erenlanth
  • "I caught a deer we can roast." - Hanvan
  • "A war will revive the land by watering it with blood." - Kerenna
  • "Is there a middle ground between warning and agitation?"
  • "The Balurgans weren't around in Beren's day."
  • "Our larders are well-stocked, and the people have been looking for an excuse to take advantage of that."
