Dialogue[]

<Explorer> finds the <rift/rip/doorway> leading to the <hero plane/divine realm>. Once in that place time ceases to exist, senses heighten and blur, and disorientation reigns. Struggling to move through a <pulsing/frenetic> <terrain/landscape> of <hues/color>, clamor, and <emotion/divinity>, <Explorer> <sees/makes out> a forking path. To the left <he/she> senses the presence of one god. To the right, another. Which does <Explorer> <take/head toward>?
  1. Arroin, wounded son of Chalana Arroy.
  2. Beren, first king of Berenstead.
  3. <An Earth goddess who did not die/Balurga, the pitiless earth goddess who did not die.>.
  4. Dostal the hunter.
  5. Elmal, the Guardian Sun.
  6. Eurmal the trickster.
  7. Inilla the forager.
  8. Redalda, first queen of Berenstead.
  9. A troll goddess.
  10. Uralda Cow Mother.
  11. Urox, Smiter of Chaos.

Six Ages 2: Lights Going Out

The explorer will be given the choice between two gods.

Choose Arroin and meet the scarred man wandering.

Choose Beren and arrive in his hall.

Choose Remaining Earth/Balurga and arrive at her earth mound.

Choose Eurmal and arrive to find him in a tree, reaching for a sword...

Choose Inilla and arrive in her Foragelands.

Choose Redalda and arrive back in time, addressing your Ram and Rider ancestors.

Choose a troll goddess and arrive in the lair of the Cragspider.

Choose Uralda and arrive to find her worry over her children.

Choose Urox and arrive in time to help him in his smitings.

Notes[]

The first time a Gods War gate appears, you receive the following report:

A world-hole leading to the divine realm has been spotted to the <cardinal direction>. Our ancestors could only reach the Other Side by performing a rite. This was dangerous enough. Now it's possible to step directly into the Gods War, but that is not a good or safe thing. Under assault by Chaos, this holy plane of existence is damaged and unstable. Journeys there offer significant reward--but much greater risk than exploring the world around us. Some openings to the Gods War appear for a few moments only, but omens say this one will remain for a while.

Explorers sensed two seperate runic resonances, hinting at the nature of the gods that might be found on the treshold: the <Rune 1> and the <Rune 2> runes. We might have as long as <number> seasons to send a mission there.

You get a clue as to which two gods will be available to you when the gate is first opened. The clue is which runes it resonates. The Earth and Death Runes belong to Balurga, the Harmony Rune is Arroin's, the Man and Mastery Runes are Beren's, the Beast Rune is Dostal's, the Fire Rune is Elmal's, the Illusion Rune is Eurmal's, the Wilderness Rune is Inilla's, the Cow Rune is Uralda's, the Bull Rune is Urox's, the Horse Rune is Redalda's, and the rune no one recognizes belongs to the Cragspider.

If you miss to send a party of questers into the gate before it closes, you may receive a variation of the following report:

The gateway to the Gods War we heard of a while back has now closed. I hear that a champion of the <Other Clan>s clan used it to travel to the divine realm. <His/Her> party was never seen again.
