Dialogue[]
“ | After a series of inconclusive, half-perceives encounters, the questers find themselves on a broken Solar road. There they are attacked by Yonesh, the baleful Cold Sun, who radiates not-life giving heat but the frigid energy of a dying world. How do they respond? | ” |
— Six Ages 2: Lights Going Out |
Consequences[]
Play to your explorer's strengths.
If you choose to fight with Humakt's implacability, then success means that Yonesh will recognize that he is but death's shadow, and not death itself, and fade away. Failure will result in him draining their age (~13 years) before letting them back on the sunpath.
If you choose to fight him with tricks and feints, then your questers will escape Cold Sun's sight and then throw a knife in his back. Cold Sun will rage and demand you fight him fairly. Fight in the Gods War need not be won fairly, however, and your questers go on into other parts of the Otherworld. Failure, however, may result in the explorers freezing to death.
Regardless of your method of attack, failure may result in your entire party being wiped out.
