Dialogue[]
“ | Hanth, a member of your clan acclaimed for his hunting prowess, says he has gained a new blessing from his god, Dostal. “I can attract more game to the wildlands around the fortress,” he says. “For as long as I live, beasts will abandon the forests of our immediate neighbors and come here instead. We will gain at their expense, but they are doomed anyway. Someone has to starve, and it shouldn’t be us.”

Not all options are necessarily available.
Consequences[]
If you grant permission, Hanth's blessing can be a significant source of both food and diplomatic headaches over the years—particularly if he lives long enough to pass it down to his son, Hanvan. It is possible fear of the consequences will worry your clan so much its mood will suffer. Such concerns may prove true.
If you withhold permission, your clan may think you are putting niceties above survival, in which case the ring's popularity will suffer.
If Hanth is allowed to exert his blessing, it will last until Hanth's life to a, natural or unnatural, end. After, you will receive the following message:
“ | With Hanth gone, his game blessing has dissipated. Our hunting productivity has gone back to what it was before. | ” |

Notes[]
Like the other introduction events for first-generation non-royals, this event usually happens early in the game, but can sometimes be delayed. If it happens late enough, an alternate illustration may be used, and Hanth's son Hanvan has advice to give in support of his father's proposal. (Later in life, Hanth changes his hat and his beard has gone gray.)
