Description[]
"Helps us deal with horses and people from outside our tribe"
This treasure is associated with Redalda, the queen who became the horse-riding goddess of the Berenethtelli tribe. It is part of the tribe's royal regalia, together with the Horn of Vingkot and the Crown of Beren, and was worn by King Beren and his successors up until they were lost by Beren's great-grandson, Vinglanth.
Its diplomacy bonus perfectly complements that of the Horn of Vingkot: the Horn helps you deal with your tribe-mates, while the Mantle helps you deal with others.
Acquisition[]
The Mantle is only available in Lights Going Out. It was lost before the start of the game, but you can recover it by successfully searching for regalia after being prompted to do so by an event. Alternatively, it may be offered by a visiting duck trader for 50 goods, though some ducks are tricksters and sell fake treasures, see Duck Offers Regalia Piece.
Note that, before you'll be offered the chance to get the Mantle, you must first acquire the Horn of Vingkot.
Quotations[]
- "Redalda spun her mantle from the hair of a golden horse, laying it upon her husband Beren’s shoulders when he took the throne."
