Dialogue[]

By moving backward from the destruction of the Spike, Sereden eventually reaches an earlier, better time, in the mortal realm. He witnesses the building of Berenstead. The people and dwarves he meets regard him as some kind of spirit, if they perceive him at all. Of the great personages of the day, who does Sereden take the greatest inspiration from?
  1. Beren.
  2. Redalda.
  3. <Female Name> Broadback, keeper of the stores.
  4. <Male Name> Double Blood, carver of the story wall.
  5. <Male Name> Manyfoot, Beren's senior emissary.

Six Ages 2: Lights Going Out

Consequences[]

If you choose Beren, Sereden's Combat skill will improve.

If you choose Redalda, Sereden's Magic skill will improve.

If you choose the carver of the story wall, Sereden's Lore skill will further improve.

If you choose Beren's senior emissary, Sereden's Bargaining skill will improve.

Before long, however, the dwarves will try and capture Sereden's spirit to power their machines. It is possible for Sereden to return uninjured and tell of his findings to your clan. Or, he is injured and finds himself lost on the way. If he's injured, another clan may find and return him a few seasons later.

You receive the following bit of text:

Emissaries of the <Other> clan brought <Sereden/Serestev> back to us. They found him half dead on the edge of their lands. Before lapsing into his present half-dead state, he told of sustaining an injury from the dwarves during the Beren era.

Do you gift the <Other> clan?

  1. Yes.
  2. No.

Notes[]

This event can happen with Sereden's son, Serestev, also.

Advice[]

  • "Should I build on what I already do well, or round out my capabilities?" - Sereden/Serestev
