Dialogue[]
“ | A black cloud hangs over the valley. At first you think it is one of the strange pools of inky darkness that increasingly haunt the world. Then you realize it’s something even worse—a locust swarm. It descends on your crops, devouring them. | ” |
— Six Ages: Ride Like the Wind |
Consequences[]
Elmal can do nothing about the damage you've suffered already, but is quite capable of preventing the disaster from reoccurring.
Reaching Pela is more difficult than Elmal or the spirits, but your chances will be better if a worshiper of Nyalda is on the Clan Circle.
Either a Raven trickster or a shaman will help your chances if you choose to call on raven spirits. You may choose to strain the relationship with your spirits. Even then, it might cost you 1 Magic. Success will see hungry ghost raven spirits eat up the loct, teaching the Bug Mother spirit not to send her vast brood to your clan.
Seeking food aid is of course likelier to go well if you have a persuasive diplomat and choose a friendly, respectful neighbor.
