Dialogue[]

Invoking the Berenethtelli privilege to have conflicts adjudicated by the king, the <Clan A> and <Clan B> clans ask Iverlantho to resolve a dispute concerning temple access. The rest of the ring can tell that Iverlantho favors the <Clan A>s, who show ostentatious respect for the crown. Fortunately they also appear to have the stronger claim. Each clan brought the customary gift of five cows.
  1. Encourage Iverlantho to support <Clan A>.
  2. Encourage Iverlantho to support <Clan B>.
  3. Express confidence in Iverlantho's judgment.
  4. Encourage the clans to work it out themselves.

Six Ages 2: Lights Going Out

Consequences[]

At the start of the event, you receive +10 cows.

If you encourage Iverlantho to support <Clan A> then Iverlantho will find that the facts favor his preference anyway. This will of course please <Clan A> but make <Clan B> upset. However, Iverlantho may lay out the case for his ruling so well that <Clan B> is forced to accept his ruling as just without hard feelings. Otherwise, <Clan B> will say that they knew the king was a fool, but would have expected the ring to keep him in line. If so, people may fear trouble coming in the future, decreasing Mood.

If you express confidence in Iverlantho's judgment, both clans accept the decision and the people express that it's good to have a wise king, improving mood.
