Dialogue[]
“ | Prince Erenlanth, grandson of the king, returns with companions from a jaunt to the wildlands to practice horseback archery. They report an encounter with <a gang of outlaws/a Chaos beast, called a jack-o-bear/half a dozen walking skeletons>, who Erenlanth slew all but singlehandedly. The king gathers the clan in the royal hall to celebrate his feat. After effusively praising Erenlanth, he mars the occasion by mocking his son and heir, Venef. “True valor skips a generation!” he proclaims. “If only you, Venef, were half as bold as your son!” Ring members outside the royal family gather informally to discuss the matter.
