Inilla is the Hyaloring goddess of foraging. She is the daughter of Elmal and Nyalda, though she made herself known to them only during the exodus, when she was needed. Through Elmal, she has many half-siblings, including Osara, Verlaro, Samnal, Reladivus, and Zarlen. She is also the wife of Dostal, the god of hunting. Inilla's special adversary is Yatelo, the Hungry Sun or Hunger Bringer. Her place in the Gods War is called the Foragelands.

The Wheels worship her as well, but hold her in very low regard, seeing her as little more than a slave rather than as Elmal and Nyalda's respected daughter.

Worship[]

You can build a shrine or a temple to Inilla. Her blessings are:

  • Find: Helps locate hidden things.
  • Rootle: Helps our foragers gather more food.

In Ride Like the Wind, one of her treasures, the Basket of Inilla—which blesses her devotees—makes an appearance. This is joined by the Inilla's Nettleglove and Inilla's Pouch treasures in Lights Going Out. These two grant good fortune after dealing with a foraging problem and increases Wilds magic if an Inilla devotee is on the ring during Sacred Time, respectively. In this game, Inilla's devotees are blesses by the Wedding Wreath Blossom treasure instead.

On the Circle[]

Rune Wilds

A worshiper of Inilla on the clan circle allows you to put more magic into Wilds during Sacred Time

In game, all leaders belonging to Inilla's cult are female. They tend to be excellent foragers, meaning that they excel in the Food and Lore skills. In the noble selection screens, her worshipers are marked with the Wilds rune.

Myths & Rituals[]

Ride Like the Wind[]

Inilla's myth is Inilla and the Golden Bush, the basis for Inilla Forage Finder

She also appears in Zarlen's First Wander

Lights Going Out[]

In Lights Going Out, the ritual "Inilla's Cache" is mentioned, but has become too dangerous to perform due to the disintegration of the Gods War. However, though Inilla's ritual is no longer safe to enact, she is one of the deities who can be contacted by traveling to a Gods War portal on the map. See Other Side: Foragelands for the event kickstarting the visitation of her realm in the Otherworld.

Other Stories[]

Inilla is not known by that name in current Glorantha, although a connection can be made with the deity Indeg whose powers are within the same sphere and who is also married to a pre-Odayla hunting god.
