These Heroic Combat situations occur only when you are raided by the Aldryami.

Entangling Grass

A willowy creature who must be an elf priestess opens her mouth to chant. You hear the song as if it originates inside your minds. It causes the grass of your pastures to rise up and entangle the hooves of your horses. <Number> horses topple over and injure themselves so badly they will have to be killed. Some of their riders are hurt as well. What does <Hero> do? Call on Cenala to end this attack. Option available only for Cenalan clans. Call on Elmal to burn the entangling grass. Shoot arrows at the priestess. Keep slashing at the nearest elves. Ride heedlessly to engage the priestess.

Consequences

Cenala can end the conflict immediately—if these elves recognize her. Just as with Riders, many don't.

Even if you successfully call on Elmal, you will have Pastures Stress as a result of setting your own pastures on fire.

Riding heedlessly is a risky choice.

This magical effect doesn't correspond to the effect of the elves' NPC ritual Spores. Perhaps the priestess is calling directly on the power of Aldrya, her goddess.
