Dialogue[]

Emissaries from the <Owed> clan appear at your clan boundaries to request that you discharge a favor you owe them. Their chieftain, <Name>, has instructed them to ask for <number> horses. <“We could ask for more, but we like you.”/“This would be the customary amount.”/When you <mention/respond> that this is <amount> more <horses> than custom requires, the main emissary shrugs. “As is entirely just, we have added a penalty for your recent misdeeds against us.”>
  1. Give them what they ask.
  2. Give them one less horse than they’re asking for.
  3. Give them more than they ask.
  4. Offer goods instead.
  5. “Now is not a good time.”

Consequences[]

It's always better for your reputation to repay favors, and generosity will look better than miserliness.

Notes[]

The customary amount is 5 horses. Clans may ask for more or less depending on their opinion of you, though.

It doesn't seem that this event ever triggers with Rams asking this form of payment for a favor.
