The first option will not be available if your clan magic is depleted.
If your explorer is a devotee of Ernalda, the final sentence will be different, and you will be given an additional choice:
“ | "As a devotee of Ernalda, you may enter, to join the ranks of her dead attendants. But you will never come back."

Consequences[]
If you gift the thunder lizard with magic, you must first choose how much. It may then respond it will use your gift to keep away disturbers, but return it to you twice over in a year.
If you choose to praise the thunder lizard then she may allow herself to be flattered, and she will grant you a blessing that allows you to devote more magic to your fields during Sacred Time. Mood will also be raised, if so. On the other hand, she may respond that you're simply stating the truth and send you on your way; your people may comment that thunder lizards are a dour lot, and not easily moved by praise.
If you seek a boon from the thunder lizard then she may simply snort and rebuff you, stating her only mission is to guard Ernalda's tomb. If, however, your explorer manages to convince her to help, she will grant an Armor Blessing, which will "shield your clan from attack" while it lasts.
Sneaking past the thunder lizard is a bad idea. If you succeed, your explorer will never be seen again, and your ability to bless your fields will be diminished for a time. Failure is actually preferable, as your explorer and their party will merely be wounded by the outraged thunder lizard.
If your Ernalda devotee says "I shall attend Ernalda," then they will disappear forever, but the thunder lizard will praise her selfless act, claiming that it will stand you in good stead one day, if you continue to live up to it. The rest of your exploration party will return home. Your people will mourn your explorer, but take some solace in the lizard's words.
