If you accept their gift, they will praise you, saying that your gesture of acceptance will help you both against Chaos. Mood increases.
If you ask for goods instead, they may oblige you, and you will receive some 15 or so goods.
If you ask for a treasure, they may give you one. The Fly in Amber is one possible treasure. Besides the treasure itself, mood will also improve.
If you tell them "All we seek is unity" they may so you will receive their support against the Devil at the final battle. Your people may have hoped for more tangible gains, however, lowering clan mood. Alternatively, they will misunderstand your words for a rebuke and you will fail to earn their support. If so, the explorer leaves disappointed and empty-handed.
If you tell them: "About your goats..." then the diplomats will tell you that you are wrong, but they will not hold your ritual denouncements of their goats against you. Some Ergeshites will, though, so they suggest you leave their lands immediately.
