Dialogue[]

Followers of Sereden complain that Erenlanth's princely retinue disrupted one of their contemplation meetings, rudely hurling dung at them. "What did we do to provoke them?" Sereden asks. They demand compensation for this unmerited attack on their dignity. "The boys were just having fun," Erenlanth shrugs. People say the prince either put them up to this directly, or encouraged it through his indulgence of them.
  1. Compensate Sereden's followers.
  2. Demand that the prince discipline his retinue.
  3. Laugh it off.
  4. Praise the prince for justly rebuking Sereden's idlers.

Six Ages 2: Lights Going Out

Consequences[]

Your clan's reaction largely depends on the popularity of the characters involved and the strength of your royalist faction, which tends to support the prince no matter what.

Demanding that the prince discipline his followers requires a Leadership test. If failed, Erenlanth will refuse and Mood may drop. However, success means that Erenlanth will agree that the matter had gotten out of hand. His men curbs their boisterousness and eventually Sereden's followers forgive them. If so, Mood rises instead.

Choosing to laugh it off may increase Mood if Erenlanth is more popular than Sereden and/or if the royalist faction is strong.

Notes[]

Because he is much older than Erenlanth, Sereden will probably be dead by the time this event can trigger, so it is much more likely to involve his son Serestev instead.
