Dialogue[]
“ | <Explorer> and company come to the shores of a great freshwater lake—large enough that some might call it a sea. This sight grants them great relief, as their water skins are empty, and their throats parched. As they approach to drink, a nymph forms from the water. <Though she appears benevolent, she also seems to be waiting for you to do or say something./“Foes of water, how dare you drink from us?” she intones, her voice like pounding rain. She could tell that our ancestors had fought the encroach of this element since the time of the great flood.>

Consequences[]
If you seek the nymph's aid she may allow you to drink.
Offering a song can grant the water nymph's blessing to your explorers.
If you attack, your explorer may learn monster-fighting secrets. However, some of the party will become ill.
If you drum to her, she might grant close relations with the spirit world for several years (~12)
Notes[]
If the forces of Water are your ancestral enemies, the text of the event and the first option will be altered, as will the image (see right).
While the details aren't yet known, your ancestors typically don't like it when you act friendly towards their foes.
