| “ | Word reaches you of a disturbance in the ruins of Elempur, a former city of the empire destroyed many years ago by the Rams. A sinkhole has opened up, further toppling old structures. Loot or magical treasures that previous explorations could not reach might be found down in the hole. You associate sinkholes with the underground activities of two hostile inhuman peoples, the ever-hungry trolls and the enigmatic dwarves.

Consequences[]
An expedition can either please your people if the thought of adventure excites them, or dismay them if they think it is doomed to failure. In any case, they will expect you to keep your promise. Note that Elempur will now be marked on the map; it is fairly close in the valley. If the people are pleased, Mood will rise, otherwise, it will fall.
Notes[]
After this event, explorers you send to Elempur have a chance at finding the Solar Mask of Yelm, an extremely useful treasure that generates magic after a successful ritual. It may take several expeditions to find it, however.
