Dialogue[]

As they promised your ancestors, dwarves come up through your cellar grate to engage with peace talks with you. "What can you offer to the World Machine?" they ask.
  1. "A gift of magic, every year."
  2. "All must unite against Chaos."
  3. "We offer a generous gift."
  4. "We wish to atone for Beren's crimes."

Six Ages 2: Lights Going Out

Consequences[]

If you say: "We wish to atone for Beren's crimes," you are also asked if you want to offer them a gift, whether in goods or a treasure. If they are convinced, they will reply, "We find the mathematics of your offer incontrovertible." This new peace may give people hope, raising Mood. If your offer is insufficient, however, they may tell you that "You mathematics lack rigor" and deny the offer of peace. If so, Mood may decrease instead. If you try and give them back the Iron Grate, they will say you lack sincerity, and that they will continue to harass you. They leave the grate behind as they depart.

Telling them: "All must unite against Chaos," works similarly.
