Dialogue[]

<A duck arrives to trade. Sightings of these diminutive but formidable beastmen have been rare of late. Like you they worship the Orlanthi gods.> After trading <metals/herbs> and <whistles/flutes/drums> for your <vessels/beads> and <blankets/belts>, the trader mentions the <Other Clan>. They have <hired disaffected Uroxi/adopted <outland fighters/outlaws>> to <strengthen/build up> their forces against you. "They say that you have been stoking your people against them."
  1. Blame a different clan for this misunderstanding.
  2. Cool your anti-<Other Clan> rhetoric.
  3. Rally the people behind you.
  4. Send a delegation to placate the <Other Clan>.

Six Ages 2: Lights Going Out

Not all options are necessarily available.

Consequences[]

If you send a delegation to placate the other clan, and gift them well enough, they agree not to raid you as long as you stop spreading lies about them. The people may see this as an act of cowardice from their leaders and Mood will decrease.

If you cool your rhetoric, the people may come around and see that perhaps it is best to leave the other clan alone for a while.

If you successfully rally the people behind you, they may cry out for blood, raising Mood. Your war leader may then encourage you to recruit more warriors. Either way, you may soon be hit by a raid from the other clan.
