Dialogue[]
“ | A trader offers you something you have been searching for a long time—the <Horn of Vingkot/Mantle of Redalda>. This is an item of your royal regalia, lost by King Vinglanth at the <Chaos foe battle> when he rode out against the <Chaos creature>s. The trader is a duck. Sightings of these diminutive but formidable beastmen have been rare of late. Like you they worship the Orlanthi gods. The duck extols the treasure's history and powers: "<Originally blown by the first mortal king of the storm people, it grants the love of the Berenethtelli clans. Provided, naturally, that your king serves as chieftain/Worn by the queen of Berenstead when she accepted the talking stick from the dying trade god, it helps the owner deal with horses and outsiders>." Berenstead needs this item, and the world needs Berenstead, so I am willing to part with it for half of what I paid - a mere 50 cows worth of portable goods."

Consequences[]
If you accept, the treasure sets off a new fervor recover the full set of royal regalia and reestablish the king's authority. However, the regalia piece may also be a fake that crumbles away after the duck leaves. Mood will drop in this case.
If you politely decline, the people may have wished the duck to have been sent packing, causing Mood to drop. Alternatively, they may be glad he was not mocked, and Mood increases instead. Possibly depends on your clan's level of Openness.
If you run him off, he will depart in haste, squawking. The people may laugh at this, causing Mood to rise.
Notes[]
By default, the regalia piece offered is the Horn of Vingkot, but if you are already in possession of the horn, it will be the Mantle of Redalda instead.
