Dialogue[]

During their exploratory mission, <Explorer> and company spot a strange figure. Though shaped like a man, its hide and face remind them of a thunder lizard—or perhaps one of the mighty dragons spoken about in legend. <Explorer> realized it must be a dragonewt.

It carries an egg of clear stone, which it holds as an offering. "I give you magic, but must remind that this will further enmesh you in the world and its dangers. But how?"

  1. "Bandits."
  2. "Chaos."
  3. "The unliving."
  4. Decline the offer.

Six Ages 2: Lights Going Out

Consequences[]

If you choose Chaos, then the dragonewt will go, but leave its stone behind. It's warm to the touch, but quickly dissipates. You receive a significant bit of clan magic, but the threat of Chaos has presumably risen.

Choosing the unliving works similarly, but it is the threat the undead that increases.

If you decline the offer, the dragonewt will tell you that you are wiser than you look, and leave, with no further consequences.

Notes[]

Though forgotten by now, your clan may have met this dragonewt twice already, back in the Storm Age. See here and here.

Advice[]

  • "The undead are currently our most serious menace." - Humakt devotee
  • "Chaos is already our biggest threat."
