Dialogue[]

During an expedition to the <direction explored>, <Explorer> and company spot another of those odd dragon men encountered by a previous party. They spot it observing them from afar. After an abrupt shift in time, it stands in front of <Explorer's> horse, speaking to it in a tongue that barely registers as a language. The horse becomes agitated, bucking and rearing.
  1. Attack the dragon man.
  2. Call on Gamari to speak to the horse, learning what the dragon man told it.
  3. Make the dragon man understand that it should be addressing <Explorer>.
  4. Wait this out and then forget it ever happened.

Six Ages: Ride Like the Wind

Consequences[]

Successfully Calling on Gamari results in text:

"Gamari spoke in <Explorer>’s head, translating the dragon man’s words, as follows: “Though the world is not the highest truth, it must continue to exist as an anchor to that truth. Dragonkind can only do so much to keep it intact. You have a small but pivotal role to play in the necessary union of opposites." Additional potential text in notes section.

Successfully Making the Dragon man understand... will result in similar text to calling on Gamari but also alter explorer making them more able at understanding thing but less able at communicating them. Appears to affect explorer by granting a small boost in Lore and Magic and a small decrease in Leadership and Diplomacy.

Notes[]

A successful Dragonewt communication will further say either :

"Beholding your essence, we see that you still have a chance. We will help you a little, though not too much, for fear of imbalance." Appears to be said if you were helpful to the dragonewt in the previous encounter.

or

"So far you are failing utterly. So we will restore you to the right path." - Appears to be said if you attacked/tried to steal from dragonewt in previous encounter.
