Dragons are mysterious and powerful creatures, often able to face the gods as an equal threat. Their larval stage, the dragonewts, are nothing compared to their elders, but still dangerous to mere humans.
Aroka is a dragon associated with the forces of water who once kidnapped the rain god Heler and fought Orlanth, the storm god. The river Arcos is also said to have sometimes taken the form of a dragon. Another dragon is Burburstus, who Yelm, the sun god, is supposed to have slain. He then used Barburstus' body to fashion his throne, Kelastan.
