Dialogue[]

Consequences[]
After this event, you will no longer have access to Healing and Curing blessings, you will only be able to put magic into Healing at Sacred Time if you have a healer on the ring, and even if you do, you will only be able to allocate a single point. In addition, clan mood will drop and a number of your people will fall sick. Sickness may soon become a severe problem, especially if you already have a lot of sick clan members.
A Healing spirit will help alleviate the loss; it is recommended to obtain one as soon as possible. In addition, you may try to explore a Gods War Gate in the hope of finding Chalana's son Arroin. If you succeed in Arroin's quest, you can ask him to teach you how to heal without magic.
Calling on the memory of Chalana Arroy to heal the sick will be followed by a prompt asking you to select how much you want to sacrifice. If successful, it will help alleviate the wave of sickness caused by the goddess's death, curing more than half of your sick clansfolk. If failed, however, your shrine to the goddess will collapse, never to be rebuilt.
Pouring her memory into her shrine, if successful, won't help right now, but means that later emergency rites to the dead goddess carry less risk of the shrine crumbling to nothing. If failed, your shrine will be at risk of collapse every time you draw upon its power in the future.
If you tell your people: “That’s only an illusion, sent by Chaos,” they may not believe you, telling you they saw it with their own eyes and felt it in their flesh. If so, Mood drops further. Alternatively, the people may tell themselves that what they witnessed was a trick and refuse to accept the death of Chalana Arroy. This refusal may have effects on the game going forth, but the interface will continue to act as though she is indeed dead. In that case, Mood improves instead.
Notes[]
This event can be prevented if you complete the Summons of Nontraya ritual before it triggers. The event text is a bit different if you have failed the ritual, or had a partial success.

- "Some people will tell themselves anything to feel better, and by “some people” I mean <advisor above>."
- "We will redouble our efforts against Chaos and take our vengeance for this grim day."
- "Let’s use the regalia we spent all that time hunting for to fix this. Oh, wait, I forgot. It’s completely useless!"
- "We must ready ourselves for the onslaught of Nontraya’s Unliving Army."

- "It is a clever trick Eurmal is playing on Nontraya, just as Ty Kora Tek fooled him into thinking he’d slain Ernalda."
- "This was inevitable and nothing we did could have stopped it."
- "Our failure to summon a Nontraya priest has nothing to do with the struggle between the gods."
- "Our victory over a Nontraya priest did weaken the god, but he has regained strength."
- "Another woman murdered by a man."
- "How did Elmal fail to protect her, as was his manly duty?"
- "We will have to rely on spirits now." - Shaman

- "Anything is an illusion if you talk cleverly enough. Thankfully I am here to do just that." - Eurmal trickster
- "Humakt despises the General of the Unliving." - Humakt worshipper

- "Nontraya fled the underworld when Orlanth arrived there." - Orlanth worshipper
- "We must keep riding, learning, surviving." - Redalda worshipper
- "Will he take Uralda next?" - Uralda worshipper
