Dialogue[]
“ | <Sole Survivor>'s wanderings continue. Less and less of the dead world remains visible. It dwindles to shadows, whispers, and fleeting brushing sensations. Finally <Sole Survivor> walks into something slithery and wispy—an enormous spider web. And with the enormous web comes an enormous spider.

Consequences[]
Attacking the spider and smashing the web have much the same result. If the Sole Survivor fails, the spider will wrap them up in its web for consumption. But even if the Sole Survivor triumphs, they will learn that the spider is Arachne Solara and the web is existence itself, so destroying either of them will doom the world to nothingness. In other words, choosing either of these options will result in a game loss.
If you offer the spider a gift, it will give you a bit of webbing in exchange, the quality of which reflects what it thinks the value of your gift (the item you brought with you when the world ended) is. Some gifts will fail to impress the spider and so the web it gives is of poor quality, but other gifts will impress it and earn the Sole Survivor web as fine as silk. The Sole Survivor will then try to weave the world back together with the web he or she was given.
If you offer the spider your life, it may stop you, telling you that you won't escape your work that easily. She then gives you some webbing with which to weave the world back together again. Alternatively, she obliges your request, and eats the Sole Survivor.
If you tell it "This web is nice, but I bet you can't weave the world back," the spider will be bemused, responding with both amusement and offense that at least effrontery remains in the dead world. It will then spare the Sole Survivor and give them a chance to weave the world back together.
A success here means that the Sole Survivor's weaving has contributed to the Compromise, which will allow for the world to be remade and allowing them to go further into the Dead World, unless the Sole Survivor overall performed poorly during the previous Dead World events, in which case the spider will eat them, albeit with some regret. Failure often means that the spider will gobble up the Sole Survivor, dooming the world to nothingness; however, if the Sole Survivor overall performed well during previous Dead World events, the spider may instead grudgingly allow them to proceed, saying there is still a chance they can redeem themself. A particularly strong success will have the spider give you a sword (or an axe, if you already have a sword), a spear and a bow, and say, "Take those gifts to Wakboth, why don't you?" If you called on the Great Spider spirit during the World Unweaves event, it will be referenced here, possibly giving you a bonus. The chance of success is also influenced by how much you explored the map over the course of the game (this is hinted at during certain events, such as Chalana Rewards Exploration).
In any case, if the Sole Survivor and the spider both survive, you have effectively won the game. However, the degree of your success still remains to be determined, as the Sole Survivor still has a final challenge before them.
Notes[]
Some characters may give you unique description. For example, if Erenlanth succeeds in re-weaving the world, you may receive the following bit of text in addition to that of the normal description:
“ | Erenlanth thought about how his first impulse had been to kill the spider, and how disastrous it would have been had he tried this. "My impetuosity does not befit a king!" he cried. | ” |
