<Sole Survivor> comes to a forlorn market. Undead humans made of pyre ash ring bells, hoping to attract customers. "Trade is dead," they moan in unison, "so we, the dead, conduct trade. Come get the finest dirty rags! We offer the finest value on chunks of bone."
  1. Drive them off.
  2. Tell them how you kept trade alive.
  3. "The living want food. I'll show you how to grow it."
  4. Trade your <keepsake> for something of similar value.
  5. Keep moving.

Six Ages 2: Lights Going Out

Consequences[]

If you tell them how you kept trade alive, you may inspire the dead to keep trade active until the living are ready to resume it again. The Sole Survivor then departs with their thanks. If Avid Trading was your ancestors' chosen Rider virtue, you will earn added support in your next action.

If you tell them, "The living want food. I'll show you how to grow it," they may rebuke, replying that they're traders, not farmers. If so, the Sole Survivor will slink away.

Advice[]

Only your sole survivor will give advice.

  • "I wonder what I could get for my <keepsake>?"
  • "They seem more sad than menacing."
  • "They are but ghosts in sooty garb."
