The City of Chimes was a Dara Happan city that, in ancient times, was besieged the Scorpion Queen (possibly Bakoka). Dara Happan armies, including troops from Nivorah, managed to break the siege.

In Six Ages: Ride Like The Wind, the ancestors of clans whose ancestral enemies are the forces of Chaos are said to have given heart to the people of the City of Chimes, persuading them not to surrender to the Scorpion Queen.
