Chalana Arroy is the healing goddess of the Rams, though a healer of any people can call her name to be granted safe passage through a battle to reach a wounded clan member. She has a son named Arroin.

Ride Like the Wind[]

Chalana Arroy first appears in Ride Like the Wind.

Events[]

Chalana Arroy features in one Ride Like the Wind event, depending on your choices: Beren Blinded.

Lights Going Out[]

Having become Rams since the events of Ride Like the Wind—the royal clan of the Berenethtelli, to be specific—Chalana Arroy has become much more relevant in Lights Going Out: she now occupies the role of your clan's primary healing goddess.

In Lights Going Out's clan creation, if you did not import a save from Ride Like the Wind, it is said that Chalana Arroy first sang the Bone Mending Ballad for Keskor Breng, a feat attributed to Erissa in Ride Like the Wind. This perhaps hints to some level of syncretization between the two for your clan. If you made this choice during clan creation, then your leaders will have better Magic skills by default, and your ancestors' Famous Event blessing will help them level up their Magic skill faster yet.

Chalana Arroy is likely to make an appearance to one of your early-game explorers in the event Chalana Rewards Exploration and offer you a blessing as an encouragement to keep exploring, as doing so will heal the world. If you go too long without exploring, you may hear a rumor of another clan experiencing the same event:

I heard from <a/an> <Ram Clan> visitor that Chalana Arroy had appeared to him in person, thanking the <Ram Clan>s for exploring. She told him that it can help heal the world. I couldn't help but think that it should have been a <Player Clan> who saw the goddess.

Worship[]

You can build a shrine or a temple to Chalana Arroy. Her blessings are:

  • Curing: Restores our sick people to health
  • Healing: Restores our wounded people to health
  • Hope: Helps us resist fear

The Braid of Chalana is a treasure that increases Health magic if a healer is on the ring during Sacred Time.

Chalana Arroy may ask you to not raid for a year during Sacred Time, granting you a blessing if you fulfill that condition.

Being the goddess of healing, Chalana Arroy prefers sacrifices of goods and may not react well to animal sacrifices.

On the Ring[]

Rune Harmony

Just as with Erissa back in Ride Like the Wind, putting a worshiper of Chalana Arroy on the ring allows a clan to put more magic into Health during Sacred Time. She is the only god in Lights Going Out that provides this benefit.

Leaders belonging to her cult are all female. In the noble selection screens, Chalana Arroy worshipers are marked with the Harmony rune.

Lore[]

According to Berenethtelli traditions, Chalana Arroy is the mother of the Rider healing goddess, Erissa.

About Chalana Arroy, your clan ring has the following to say:

  • "When Redalda founded the tribe she introduced the Rider healing goddess, Erissa, to her mother, Chalana Arrroy."
  • "Chalana Arroy can heal [clansman], but cannot destroy the krarshtkid."
  • "Chalana Arroy heals the ill but holds no power over smoke."

Myths[]

Chalana Arroy has no rituals of her own in Lights Going Out, but her son, the god-turned-mortal Arroin, can be contacted by traveling to a Gods War portal on the map; see the event Other Side: Arroin's Wanderings.
