Dialogue[]

A delegation of priests, all from clans who reject the story of Cenala as daughter of Hyalor and the elf goddess, demand that you renounce it. “This false and obscene story has caused nothing but dissension, and we who rightly reject it outnumber you handily. It is time you told your friends that it is a lie. Do not force us to take sterner steps.”
  1. Challenge them to a contest of divine favor.
  2. Pelt them with rocks and cow dung as they leave.
  3. Politely decline.
  4. Renounce Cenala.
  5. Threaten armed reprisal.

— Six Ages: Ride Like the Wind

Consequences[]

If you successfully challenge them to a contest of divine favor (Magic test, ritual magic invested at Sacred Time helps), a rejecter clan will join your cause.

Notes[]

  • "We must stand up for our goddess Cenala. Or demigoddess, or priestess, or whatever she is." —Clan Circle member, who is both passionate and deeply confused about Cenala.

Oddly, there does not seem to be a counterpart scene for the other side of the schism—rejecter clans don't have to worry about Cenalans showing up to demand they accept her, even should they be drastically outnumbered.
