Dialogue[]

<Noble> returns from <his/her> priestly mission to the far distant Last Tablet Plateau. <He/She> reports that the plateau is indeed a holy site. Its priestess, Cenala, is part human and part elf, as impossible as that sounds. “After meeting her, I have to believe her telling me that her parents are Hyalor and the elf goddess Aldrya. She appears in a story she taught me, of her father’s long ride through these lands.”

Unfortunately, <number> members of the armed escort you sent did not return, slain on the long journey by <trolls and falling rocks/elves and bandits/dwarves and river monsters/illness spirits and Vingkotlings/dragonspawn and mammoths>."

  1. Convey this truth to Hyaloring neighbors.
  2. Keep this as your holy secret.
  3. Let word spread that you will share a divine secret in exchange for a gift to Hyalor.
  4. Share these revelations only when asked.

Six Ages: Ride Like the Wind

Consequences[]

At the start of the event, you immediately gain the Population and Horses representing the survivors of the expedition.

Conveying this truth to neighbors primarily tests your chosen leader in Mythology (seems to be a combination of the Lore and Magic stats). If you invested in ritual magic at Sacred Time that will help, and if you send the same person to explain who you sent to the plateau in the first place, they will have an advantage.

Keeping it secret avoids the potential political strife, but also the potential gains.

If you let word spread that you will share a divine secret in exchange for a gift to Hyalor, the people may think it's smart for others to covet this secret. If so, Mood improves.

Notes[]

This event is the only way to learn the myth Hyalor's Long Ride.
