The royal regalia of the Berenethtelli tribe symbolize the authority of its kings. They are a set of three treasures that were passed down from Beren and Redalda to their descendants, and used by all tribal kings until they were lost when King Vinglanth was killed in battle against Chaos forces. Without them, the authority of the Berenethtelli kings is limited and their influence has gradually dwindled. By the time of Iverlantho, the position of king has become largely symbolic.

Therefore, the player's clan in Lights Going Out begins the game without any of the regalia. There will be some disputes within the clan over whether trying to recover the regalia is a worthwhile pursuit or a waste of time and resources. During certain events, the player will be offered the decision whether to seek the tribal regalia or not.

Note that the treasures are always sought in the order given above; e.g. you will not get the chance to find the Mantle of Redalda if you haven't yet found the Horn of Vingkot.

It is currently believed that the Crown of Beren cannot be found in Lights Going Out and it is therefore impossible to reassemble the full regalia.
