Six Ages Wiki

Dialogue[]

Your young warrior Beren shows up severely injured. Charioteer nobles caught him, dragged him onto one of their fast-moving carts, and tried to blind him with a punishing solar blast. Then they threw him from the cart, so the rest of us could behold the shame they’d inflicted. One of his eyes has gone completely milky, but the other might be saved. Though dazed, Beren says a healer woman of the <Daughters of Vingkot Clan> clan might be able to help.
  1. Attack the charioteers.
  2. Call on spirits to heal him.
  3. Call on the magic of Erissa the healing goddess.
  4. Send him to the <Daughters of Vingkot Clan> for healing.

Six Ages: Ride Like the Wind

Consequences[]

Erissa priestesses can only partially restore Beren's sight; the same is true of the spirits.

If you go to the <Daughters of Vingkot Clan> as Beren requests, Redalda will persuade a priestess of Chalana Arroy to heal him. This priestess will be able to heal Beren's eyes fully, and this can be brought up as proof of divine sanction in the Redalda Proposal event.

Notes[]

This event is not guaranteed to happen, but it seems likelier to occur if you made more of a fuss after discovering the Golden Mirror.

This is a variant on Warrior Blinded.

Advice[]

  • "Even when I was a Wheel, I found this tradition barbaric." - Former Wheel
  • "We can hit them later. First let's see if we can restore Beren's sight." - Ayvtu
  • "The Wheels accept Hyalor as a hero who learned horse secrets, but deny that he ascended to the sky as a god." - Hyalor worshiper
  • "I know a spirit who might fix that eye." - Shaman
  • "This gruesome act is a ritual obeisance for the Wheels. They say it is because we worship Hyalor as a god, when he was only a man." - Relandar worshiper
  • "Against the Wheels, an eye for an eye is not enough. We must take a dozen eyes."
  • "You will not be surprised to learn that the Rams Beren mentions regard us better than the charioteers who blinded him."
  • "That Ram clan is famous for the magic of its priestesses."
  • "From the insignia Beren describes, it was the <Wheels> clan who committed this despicable act."
