Dialogue[]

Exploring a territory northeast of the valley, <Explorer> and <his/her> party encounter <people who settled here recently. They worship Balurga, an earth deity who has not been killed. Taking her name, they call themselves Balurgans/the Balurgans, who have in the past sent emissaries to Berenstead>. Their high priestess says, "Survival grows more difficult by the day. How do your people do it? We know you worship the sun god. Share your secret, and Balurga shall bless your fields."
  1. "Just as we cannot pray to Balurga, you cannot pray to Elmal."
  2. "Look for new ways to worship your goddess."
  3. "We keep hope in our hearts."
  4. "We pray to Elmal the Shield; let me show you how."

Six Ages 2: Lights Going Out

Consequences[]

If you tell them to look for new ways to worship Balurga, they may say that your words ring true and they will extend their goddess' blessing.

If you say, "We pray to Elmal the Shield, let me show you how," you will pray and make the proper sacrifices to Elmal together with the Balurgans. The sky opens up to shine on their fields. For this fire blessing they give you and earth blessing in return.

If you say "We keep hope in our hearts," they may find this inspirational and agree to give you the blessing for your fiery words. It porbably helps if your clan actually values hope.

Advice[]

  • "By migrating to the valley, they said 'to survive, we must change.'"
  • "Chaos lays all low."
  • "So this is where Balurgans live."
