Dialogue[]

Clan elders remind you that <Prince> Erenlanth remains unwed. If he does not sire a male heir, Beren’s royal bloodline ends. The lineage is magically intertwined with Berenstead, which will fall forever if it dies out. <Some say this might in fact be the doom foretold.> “Though he shows little interest,” the elders say, “we must find him a bride. Every season we waste brings us closer to doom.” Erenlanth says, <“My grandfather and father are both hale and hearty. I can wait a little longer.”/“If you find the right princess I suppose I could not refuse.”/“You all sound like grandfather. Surely a season or two will not make so much difference.”/“You are right that a king must have a queen. But it must be the right queen.”
  1. “Erenlanth, you must accept the bride we find you.”
  2. “Every king of legend has an equally formidable queen.”
  3. Let him be for the moment.
  4. Seek a bride without consulting him.
  5. “Erenlanth, you are the last of the line!”

Six Ages 2: Lights Going Out

Consequences[]

If you say “Every king of legend has an equally formidable queen,” and then choose a clan to approach, they may at first be flattered and receptive, but their god-talkers will then say that Erenlanth will never wed as long as the world is covered in Chaos. If this is the final year the game, it may also factor into it, one of your nobles say.

Notes[]

A piece of advice that may be given during the Death of Prince Venef event mentions a prophecy that Erenlanth will not find a bride before the end of the game: "The prophecy that Erenlanth will not wed until the Chaos clouds are gone from the sky is well known. Our neighbors will regard betrothal to him as a death sentence."

The text is slightly different if the world is expected to end at the end of the year.
