Lights Going Out[]

By the time of the Chaos Age, the Autumn Mountains have become home to talking snakes, belligerent goats, Valindlings, and ogres, but no settled peoples.

Sending an explorer here, you may receive a variation of the following report:

I am back from the Autumn Mountains. Unless you count talkative snakes or belligerent mountain goats, we found no <people/settled inhabitants> there. <We did not get far into the mountains before trouble started. <Valindlings/Ogres> attacked us. <Though they drove us back, we gave as good as we got. They won't be coming to the valley, of that you can be sure. I left one of my explorers dead in/They killed <Number> of my explorers, whose corpses now litter> the foothills/In the melting ice we found possessions left by past expeditions, worth <Number> cows. We left the bones behind>.
