In Ekarna's Four Trades, the Rider goddess Ekarna traded Arandanth kumis in exchange for broaches of protection. When the less diplomatic Rogoros tried to do the same, he offended Arandanth so badly that Arandanth took him and his retinue as slaves and sold them to Thengist.
Arandanth also appears in the ritual Ekarna Four Trader, in which the quester must follow in Ekarna's footsteps and obtain the broaches from him.
